Why is this hourly and not a fixed price?+
Because the cause is unknown until someone looks. A fixed price would have to assume the worst case and would cost most people more.
How long does it usually take?+
Most faults are traced within an hour or two. Intermittent ones take longer, and we agree a range before going past it.
Is it an emergency?+
Burning smells, exposed live parts or water near electrics are. Total loss of power usually is. A single dead socket normally is not, and costs less as a booked visit.
