Clear the area around the cooker switch and appliance space. The kitchen power circuit is isolated safely before opening connection plates.

Wiring and mounting
The appliance is wired using suitable heat resistant cable, checked for correct terminal torque, and pushed into position without pinching cables.

Testing and verification
Electrical tests confirm earth path safety and proper current flow before the oven is turned on and heat tested.

Once the connection is complete, you receive a fully working cooking appliance and clear verification of circuit safety.

Can you connect my cooker if there is no switch on the wall?+
The appliance needs a suitable, accessible means of isolation. If the existing connection is not suitable, Jay will explain and quote for the circuit or isolation work needed before connecting it.

Do I need to buy the connection cable beforehand?+
Jay will confirm the heat-resistant cable required for the appliance and whether the manufacturer supplied it. Any additional materials are agreed as part of the job.

Can a standard 13A plug socket power my new oven?+
Single ovens rated below 3kW often run on a standard 13A plug or fused spur. Higher rated double ovens, freestanding cookers and large induction ranges require a dedicated radial circuit from the consumer unit.
What happens if my existing circuit cable is too small?+
If the existing cable or protective device cannot handle the electrical load of your new cooker, the appliance cannot be safely energised. Any necessary cable upgrades or board modifications are priced separately for your approval.
